What is the same (and why feature comparisons are deceiving)

If you compare Aura against SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Odoo or Aspel by feature list, you will find a lot of overlap. They all handle billing, inventory, accounts receivable and reporting. That's why the "popcorn" tables that sellers put up are misleading: they give the impression that all systems are interchangeable.

The reality is that two systems can have the same “accounts receivable” module and mean completely different things. In one, someone has to sit down and record every invoice, every payment, every reconciliation. In another, the system does it itself.
